Yay!!! School has officially begun:) My kids are in a new school which starts almost an hour later than their previous school, which means? I don't have to get up at the crack of dawn to make their lunches!! Double Yay!!!!
Moooooo!!
Lunches consisted of their favorite, salmon, a cow rice ball, two quail egg chickies, and cherry tomato lady bug and some green grapes:)
Whoops! The chick's eyes got a little lopsided.
We also broke in some new, awesome bento boxes...LOVE!

how long should i boil (if that's the method used) a quail egg. my parents sell them at their grocery, but i've always been afraid to cook with them . . . and i think the kids would LOVE to have 'miniature' eggs in their doshiraks! =)
Hi Angie!
I don't time the boil. I just put the eggs in the pan with the cold water, bring it to a simmer and turn the heat off with the lid still on the pan and let them sit for while I finish preparing the rest of their lunch:)
Happy to see you back Kia!
But who is gonna milk the cow now that you can sleep late(r)? :P No, really: enjoy your extra sleep!
Lovely bento's! I guess your kids stole the show on their new school with these lunches! :)
