Saturday Manly Bento

I don't pack's Rick's meals in a regular bento box. He's not into Hello Kitty. Although they do sell bento boxes targeted exclusively to men, regular Lock & Lock or Sterilite plastic containers seem to work the best for him. Like Masami wrote, traditional bento boxes are not a necessity.

Today he got breaded chicken tenders, tamagoyaki-style ham and cheese omelete, yellow cherry tomatoes, sliced cucumbers and Wheat Thins. Mini cinnamon rolls in separate container.

I know this does not follow the proportions rule, but I have been packing meals for him for almost 8 months now, I know what he will eat, and what he brings back home to throw out. He's not big on rice or fruit, or very many vegetables either. He is mucho picky! The reason for the large portions is that he is at work almost 12 hours, so he needs enough food to eat throughout the entire day. I also packed him a toasted bagel with cream cheese to eat for breakfast.
