My favorite entry is from September 23, 2008: "Visions of Grandeur Tuesday 9/23"

I love this article because it converted me to a bento believer. I always viewed Bento as an art that was practiced by stay at home mothers in Japan, not urban professionals with junk food eating kids. But this article made the art of bento very accessible and practical. The art of bento is an easy way of providing your family, especially your kids with a well balanced and aesthetically attractive meal. I also like the concept of small, but varied little dishes. I think such dishes make the lunch less overwhelming and appetizing for small kids. Thanks

*FAVORITE*: The "Jack-O-Lantern" bento . . . mostly because it was just so darn cute but also because it inspired me to stop looking at artistic bentos and to actually try to make one. My daughter was SO thrilled . . . and it's inspired a few other mother in her class to try to make their lunches more nutritious and interesting.

*CLOSE SECOND* however, was the mouse and/or bear combination . . .

I laughed out loud at your commentary.

My favorite entry is any entry you have with the Nightmare Before Christmas box or the round wonderful Totoro box! My daughter adores both of these movies, and I like them, too! I lust after both of these boxes in a big way.

All I have to say is this an amazing giveaway! THanks.

My favorite post was: Feminine Bento

http://krajeebentomom.blogspot.com/2008/11/today-was-another-one-lunch-day.html

I adored the box you used and the layout and presentatin of the food was great. I liked the use of pastel colors and the cherry soy sauce holder put me over the edge. It was adorable and very feminine.

I forgot to add my email on the last post: carogonza1 (at) yahoo (dot) com.

My favorite entry so far is the Cinnamoroll and little boy bento because Cinnamoroll is my favorite sanrio character! Just looking at Cinnamoroll made me giggle. I also liked the fact that the Cinnamoroll didn't look too difficult to make. The little boy onigiri that you made for Bryce in the same entry was also very cute.

Pork Loin Roasted in a Baguette

The recipe is on Joanne Weir's website http://www.joanneweir.com/recipes/mains/pork-roasted-the-way-the-tuscan-do.html

This is one of my favorites, it looks sooo yummo!! And it will look so cute sliced in a bento box!

I think my favorite entry is a tie between the Cinnamoroll/Little Boy bento (because Cinnamaroll is so freaking cute!) and the Shaggy Dog bento - both in November.

I love the shaggy dog one because it's really simple yet adorable at the same time (plus, you get a little bit of extra rice than you would on a normal onigiri!).

These two entries definitely inspired me to start packing more Asian-inspired foods into my bento and to really take care to make my lunch a work of art. It's all that more gratifying to eat it if it's that cute!

My favourite is the one from October 22, 2008. It featured one of my new favourite vegetables, which I only picked up after reading how to prepare it on your blog! It is now a popular vegetable in our lunches.
Plus, it is really cool looking, and inspired a math bento!

My favorite entry is the October 30, 2008 one on apple core skulls. My daughter loves skulls and I was looking up food skull ideas when I came across your blog. That entry led me to view all your others and really peaked my interest in bento. As a result I just ordered a skull bento for my daughter and a hamburger bento for my other daughter. I can't wait for them to arrive so I can start experimenting with ideas. Thank you for the fun inspiration!

"Hmmmm"

This is my favorite post because you didn't know what to call your cute creations, mouse or bear.
Sophie thought it was a cute kitty cat...no matter how you "see" them they are adoreable! I totally admire your bento lunches, they look so good and have all the food requirements kids need. I haven't attempted making bentos but I think once Sophie starts kindergarten I can...the high schooler may find these alittle "too cute" for him!:)

Gosh, the "what is your favorite, pick only one" questions are the hardest (>.<) My favorite is probably from "the bento section" post from Thursday, October 2, 2008 (http://krajeebentomom.blogspot.com/2008/10/bento-section.html)

The pictures. I'd never seen anything like it before. I learned that there is a kind of "bento culture" that is vibrant and vast, one that has a kind of cute obsession with taking lunchtime to a level of art and curious innovation. I can't imagine any kid of any age walking through these aisles, bursting with colorful containers and utensils and banana holding treasures, and NOT wanting to have lunch made from home!

I agree with many that it's a healthy obsession with the "bento culture", though, as it does encourage us to slow down and enjoy making and eating tasty, nutritional, portion-healthy food... (who ever said that playing with your food was bad?!)

Cheers,
Di

Hi, I am very new to the bento world, your blog is where I was introduced. I have no idea how I found your blog but I did and I love it. I ordered my first bento boxes this week. My daughter will be starting school in the fall and I am BEYOND excited about preparing her lunches in these boxes. My favorite post is this one: http://krajeebentomom.blogspot.com/2008/10/1006-penguin-and-bear.html I love how everything looks. What kid in the world would not think that was the most fantastic lunch ever.
Oh man just typing about this is making me so excited.

Thanks for the great blog and introducing me to the world of bento.
